Transcribed: Who says economists are dry?

I love these guys. This is from one of the best new podcasts about the economy, Planet Money. I'm not sure quite why I find it so delightful, but their quirky take on the economy is one of the reasons I'm a dedicated listener.

Adam Davidson: As our friend and colleague David Kestenbaum pointed out, this report [on production in Japanese factories] has the most exclamation points he's ever seen in a financial research report from a bank.

Alex Blumberg: Which might be a new Planet Money indicator that we can start, the exclamation point index. There are not one but two exclamation points in this report, which is only two pages long....I'm just going to read one here: "Industrial production will have contracted close to 20 percent during Q4 ’08!"
