Every week, I spend time trawling through podcast directories, looking for great new (and old) shows. Sometimes I find something so fantastic that it makes me want to clamp my headphones down on some passerby’s head and make them listen to it.
But most of the time? Not so much. Name brands that I know and love have churned out some breathtakingly bad shows. And I think: Seriously? I waited an extra three minutes to go out on my run so I could wait until this finished downloading? Oprah, I’m talking to you.
I’m terrible at predicting what shows I’ll love and which ones will make me wish I could gouge out my eardrums. And I’m sure I’m missing at lot of great shows simply because I don’t think that the thumbnail image on iTunes is sufficiently well designed. (Hey, Chip Kidd? I see a whole new revenue stream for you.)
